Opening hours

Cave and kiosk: daily 10 am – 8 pm (June–August). From September: 10–16, please call ahead.

Prices

Cave admission SEK 70 · under 12 free. Campsite from SEK 200/night. Pay by cash or Swish at the kiosk.

How to get here

About one hour's drive south from Östersund. Turn off towards Hoverberg just north of Svenstavik and follow the signs.

Parking

Free parking by the kiosk. From there it is about 600 metres of steep uphill to the cave entrance.

Accessibility

The walk to the cave and the stairs inside are steep. The cave is not suitable for visitors with limited mobility or strong claustrophobia.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at the campsite on a lead. They cannot come down into the cave.

Winter season

From late autumn until early summer the cave is icy and hard to enter. The ice is usually gone by midsummer.
